The National Gallery of Zimbabwe boasts of an extensive collection of visual art from several exceptionally talented Zimbabwean artists. The array of graphics on display includes paintings, photography and models that articulate the essence of Zimbabwean culture.

For instance, here we see various Zimbabweans who each played a pivotal role in the liberation struggle-see if you can name any one.

 

Curators occasionally rotate the artwork on display such that it resonates with the current affairs of the country. Be on the lookout for special exhibitions that are held now and then at the gallery. There is also a Shona sculpture garden right next to the gallery.
