CHIREMBA ROCKS

The Money Rock
Featured on Zimbabwe's 100 Trillion-Dollar Note
Locally known as Domboremari, these three intricately balanced boulders are also depicted on the logo of the Reserve Bank.

Chiremba Rocks, otherwise known as Epworth Balancing Rocks are geological features of igneous rock. Besides the Money Rock, there is an oval-shaped boulder which resembles an egg: a traditional symbol of fertility, protection and nourishment. It is culturally believed that touching the egg rock heals infertility.

Rest assured, there is a scenic viewpoint which guarantees you an expansive view of the balancing rocks. Also, the aesthetic rock painting by the prehistoric San is a must see!
